Look, it's ME!

Wow.
13 years it's been, and once again I'm going to be right back where I started, in the first year of a new and possibly terrifying place. Except this time there is no holding of Mommy's hand, and little chance of seeing familiar faces in class or in the halls.

How has it happened? So fast time has passed since the beginning.

Twice now we have felt fear at the entrance of a new environment, and twice we have felt the pride at being at the top.
Once more will we feel the fear, and once more will we feel pride.
Institutions have been our whole lives, but slowly we will become used to the slightly freer ways of the world (some more free than others).
I know, everyone has to make some sort of speech at the end of high school, even if we still have some years of schooling left. But the leaving of friends, the knowledge that many will never be seen again, that independence is nearing fast... it isn't the same anymore.

Here's to the ones who stuck around, through all the long years.

Here's to the friendships, the parties.

Here's to the good times, the long talks, the unpredictable screaming matches.

Here's to the bonds that will last a lifetime.
Here's to us, the emerging generation, who will shape the next era and hope we do well.
Bless our youth. Remember it always.
Physically, you're only young once,
But mentally, you can keep that youth forever.

KITTY

The Thursday before Easter I picked up my kitten from her foster home and as of RIGHT NOW she's settling in at last. It's too bad Pixel doesn't get along with her very well... silly kitties.

What a pretty baby. Jon says she looks kind of scary but really cool at the same time. Heh. You should see this kitten after naps. There's a reason I come to school with clawmarks all over me.

sigh
I wuv my kitty.

Well, thanks to the quiz addicts, I've now got a bunch of results that I found pretty funny, and a couple I think are somewhat true.
These results come courtesy of www.quizilla.com.

(I might as well start dating them. Why not?)
Xmas, come and gone.
New Year's, come and gone.
My birthday, come and gone.
Next up: College submissions.
Why is it that the only college program I actually want to get into is the only one not demanding that I send them things? It makes me reluctant to try on my portfolio submissions, even though I have to have them in by Monday next week. I've got one life drawing left to do, and I can't do ANYTHING right. Damn it.
Took a walk down Memory Lane earlier.
Looking for one of the ORIGINAL images for Priestess Shina, I ran into the Damasca site. How much things change... I can't believe it was four years ago that Ryan set that up and we all played it.
I think I'll pester him about it at school tomorrow.. hehehe..
Too bad the forums didn't go back to 1999. I would have loved to see all the old conversations and fights going on between everyone I used to know. But it was good to see a couple people still hanging around, but I wouldn't go back. Too much has changed and it would never be entertaining again like it was back then.
Isn't that always the way of it?
I love Halloween.. even though it's long over now.
Two of the five pumpkins we had, the hockey mask by my dad and the big-mouthed one by me. We had a few others too, but these were the two I entered into an informal pumpkin-carving contest. I won by default... no one else entered. Heh.
Did I mention I love Hallowe'en? I don't think I did.

I love Hallowe'en!
Aright!
'Tis my mom's birthday on October the 6th(tomorrow), and today (being Saturday), me and James decided we'd make Mom a cake, seeing as we didn't have the means to buy her a present.
After a lot of stirring and complaining and licking of mix bowls, the cake was baked, cooled, and.. uh.. overdecorated.

You can't see half the sprinkles because of the flash, but you get the general idea. We used five of those little sprinkles canisters; a whole one on the inside layer.

Hooray for cake mixes.
Hey, I'm a gigantic loser and got talked into signing myself up for HotOrNot.com. Hooray for me... again.
Well, if you've got nothing better to do, you can check it out. There are a LOT of people on that thing -- holy crap -- and you can meet people from everywhere if you want to.
So if you're bored, go see me in all my.. un-glory. Heh.
Rate me, too. I wanna know what people think. And no, I won't care if you rate me a 1 out of spite. I've got at least one of everything from 1-10 (which is pretty cool, because I can't see myself as deserving a 10).
I've been reading too many brief bios.
God-damn I hate myself.
Just kidding.. relax. I think I'm a pretty OK person.
Heh, please excuse my advertising. I don't do it on purpose, I swear.
Well, guess who went to a WEDDING on the 28th?
No, I did.
Well, I got a couple pictures. Dad got a new digital camera, and he was testing it. Better pics are waiting to be developed, but I doubt they'll get scanned, so do't get your hopes up.
Though it isn't like you will anyway.

The Bridesmaids of the wedding, trying to get up from dinner, but everyone's taking pictures of us. Damn that place was cold.
---------------

Yes, they made the whole wedding party wear Village People hats and do the YMCA. Except me, who somehow ended up with a Santa hat.
Oh yeah, and the white dots in the pictures AREN'T weird flaws in your screen.. they were really sparkly dresses. And when I got home I had sparkles all over me.

Like ninjas?
For anyone who asks: no, I don't play the guitar. We just thought it would be funny to have a picture of me as a ninja playing my friend's bass guitar.

And the picture beside it was the result of a cyberarts project in which I merged myself with my cat.

This is my kitty! Her name is Pixel and she's kind of fat, but that's my fault for feeding her so much when she was little.
I plan on being the crazy cat lady when I get my own house.. I'll have like five billion cats and I'll pretend they're my children and the neighbours' kids will dare each other to run up and knock on my door, but when they get there my cats will eat them... hahahahaha...!
Um.. yeah. I like kittycats. Can't you tell?

This was drawn by the once other half of my brain; otherwise known as James.

And this is a modified picture of him.
He looks cool, eh?
I might also add that this was in grade 10: he's much sexier now and also unavailable.
See YA.
